Anger Management

Anger is a normal human emotion, but when it becomes frequent, intense, or difficult to control, it can damage relationships, careers, and health. Anger management therapy doesn't suppress anger, it helps you understand what's driving it and express it constructively. The underlying emotions beneath anger are often hurt, fear, shame, or grief.

How therapy can help

Talking therapy gives anger somewhere to go that isn't an outburst: a space to say what's actually underneath it, usually hurt, fear, shame, or a sense of injustice, before it builds up. A therapist helps you understand the triggers and underlying emotions driving your anger, develop the capacity to notice and regulate it before it escalates, and express difficult emotions in ways that don't damage your relationships and life.
